Adam Belmont - Maintenance Manager

Managers Moment
Summer is hopefully behind us, we are looking forward to some cooler weather. We accomplished a lot this summer. Kudos to our locksmiths, they changed out 92 locks. All doors can now be locked from inside during a lockdown providing a safer learning environment for our staff and students. A long list of deferred maintenance projects were completed which includes the following: Painted the exterior of Clovis High, painted the exterior of Clovis Elementary, carpeted Sierra Vista, roofed three buildings at Clovis West, installed new HVAC units at Clovis West, completed 8 paving projects at various schools, refinished gym floors at Clovis High and Kastner Intermediate, refinished half of the tennis courts at Clovis High, polished the MPR floor at Dry Creek, raised portables at Clovis West, did preventive maintenance on chillers, painted doors and jambs at Kastner Intermediate and changed out all of the chain link fence on the Kastner tennis courts. We are currently working on planning next summer’s projects.

It has been a great start to the school year. It did not seem like there were a lot of fires to put out but we set a record the first day of school receiving more than 170 work orders for the Plant Operations team. I know the work is there but you guys and gals make it look easy. Thank you Maintenance team for the job you do, keep up the good work.
